{kindly taken from Goodreads}

My Thoughts: I really enjoyed Because of Mr. Terupt, and I was excited to see where Rob Buyea would go with the sequel. The characters are what really makes both of his novels – their development, their relationships, and their personalities, and I think the sequel did a expert chore living upward to the commencement book. Was information technology my absolute favorite volume in the world? No, because that is a pretty high honor for the most outstanding of books :) But, for a solid middle course read, I would exist happy to recommend both Mr. Terupt novels!

The seven students, also as Mr. Terupt, are all moving upward to 6th form, and that brings a lot of changes. Worries near moving on to junior loftier are starting to form, peer pressure is even greater, and major events are happening in everyone'due south lives. What I actually liked about this book was how well the author handled a lot of difficult topics thrown into the plot. To the intended audience {ten to twelve-year olds} the topics are relevant. At that place'south budding romance, growing up, and pressure from older kids. Readers may not have encountered these issues themselves, but I think even reading well-nigh the characters dealing with information technology is such a good idea. Yet, I do think that Mr. Terupt'south helpfulness, for lack of a better word, was a little forced. He was always at that place to salve the solar day, and equally some other reviewer put it, his superhero qualities were a bit over-the-top. I would have loved to accept seen more of the students' choices in those predicaments, just because information technology would make them that much more than adult.

While the author did practice a dainty chore writing nigh relevant problems, I as well have to acknowledge that the story felt a bit dated when it came downwardly to the details. In that location was non 1 mention of modern engineering, and to sell a story these days, I feel that these modest things can get important. While some may argue that this makes the book timeless, I call back that at the aforementioned fourth dimension, it makes you wonder if some kids will lose interest because they can't connect with the characters' lives. My nit-picking aside, the points of view in this novel were extremely well-done! I loved that you could immediately tell who was speaking just from the tone of writing. The storyline was really adorable, but there were also some shocks in there besides, but to proceed yous on your toes :)

Overall,Mr. Terupt Falls Again was a good volume. A very prissy follow-up to a successful debut, and I would definitely pick upwardly the third ane!

Pros: Well-developed characters and nicely thought-out storyline.

Cons: The book, at times, felt a scrap dated.

Heads Up: One of the characters, Lexie, hangs out with some non-so-nice older kids, only information technology ends positively, and showcases the right thing to do in the end!

Overall: I requite it three i/2 stars {*** ane/2} and I recommend information technology for ages 11 and up.

Accept a lovely night, friends!
